Welcome to York Computer Repair, Inc. (“York Computer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to our website, your request for services, and any interaction you have with our company unless you have entered into a separate written agreement with us.

By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms.

 
1. Scope
These Terms apply to:

website visitors
customers requesting repair
people scheduling appointments
individuals or businesses purchasing products or services
If you are covered by a separate signed agreement (such as a managed services contract), that agreement will control where different.

 
2. Estimates & Authorization
Any estimate we provide is based on the information available at the time.
Actual charges may change if additional problems are discovered.

By requesting service or leaving equipment with us, you authorize us to perform diagnostic and repair work and agree to pay applicable charges.

 
3. Data & Information on Devices
We understand your data is important.

While we use reasonable care and follow professional practices, you acknowledge that:

hardware or software failure can occur at any time,
existing issues may worsen during repair,
some problems cannot be predicted, and
data loss or corruption may occur despite best efforts.
For these reasons, we cannot guarantee that data will be preserved or recoverable.

York Computer is not responsible for loss of data, programs, or files.

 
4. Abandoned Equipment
Devices not picked up within 30 days after notification of completion may be considered abandoned.

We reserve the right to:

charge reasonable storage fees, and/or
dispose of or recycle abandoned equipment to recover costs, where permitted by law.
 
5. Payments
Payment is due upon completion of service unless other arrangements are made in writing.

We reserve the right to retain possession of equipment until payment is made.

Returned checks, failed electronic payments, or chargebacks may incur additional fees.

 
6. Limited Warranty on Repairs
Unless otherwise stated in writing, repairs are provided without guarantees beyond any specific written warranty provided at the time of service.

We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, manufacturer defects, or failures unrelated to the specific repair performed.

 
7. Third-Party Products & Services
We may recommend or provide hardware, software, or services from third parties. Those items are subject to the warranties and terms provided by their manufacturers or vendors.

 
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, York Computer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption.

Our total liability for any claim related to services will not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

 
9. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service for any reason, including safety concerns, abusive behavior, or illegal content.

 
10. Acceptable Use of Website
You agree not to misuse our website, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with operations, or violate any law.

 
11. Communications
By providing contact information, you consent to receiving communications from us, including service updates and, where allowed by law, marketing messages. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

 
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania. Venue for disputes will be York County, Pennsylvania.
